Administration

The ancillary staff of Great Western Surgery consists of the Practice Manager and Deputy, two Practice Nurses, Health Care Assistant, In house Phlebotomist and support from experienced receptionists.

All staff apart from the manager are part-time. Also based within the surgery is our Health Visitor. The District Nurses are based at another location but visit the surgery on a daily basis. Other attached staff include Community Psychiatric Nurses, Midwife, Counsellor and Physiotherapist.

Most of our ancillary staff have been with us for at least five years or longer. They are very experienced, competent and loyal employees. We pride ourselves on having excellent working relationships with all our permanent and attached staff. As previously mentioned, we positively encourage discussion and suggestions from everyone involved in the Primary Health Care Team on most matters affecting the Practice and believe that the approachability of the Partners plays an active part in achieving good results from this.
