Bowel Cancer

If you’ve had blood in your poo or looser poo for 3 weeks, your doctor wants to know.

Chances are it’s nothing to worry about, but these symptoms could be signs of bowel cancer, so tell your doctor. Finding bowel cancer early makes it more treatable and could save your life.

Appointments

We are aware that one of the key challenges we have as a practice is telephone access and getting appointments when you need them. We have reviewed our appointment system and there are now 3 types of appointments available:

- Book in advance up to 3 weeks for routine appointments

- Book in advance 48 hours for patients who do not need immediate attention

- Same day (for patients whose medical problem must be dealt with on the same day)

Dr Talbot
The Practice would like to inform patients that Dr Hilary Talbot has now left the Practice. Dr Talbot will be missed by the staff and patients alike and we wish her all the best for the future.

New Practice Manager

The Practice would like to inform patients that our new Practice Manager, Mrs Joanne Osborn, started on the 16th April. We would like to welcome Joanne to the surgery.

NHS Summary  Care Records

Many of our patients will be receiving literature in regards to the SUMMARY CARE RECORD, and be given the opportunity to opt out if so desired. The Practice Manager is happy to discuss the implications of the SUMMARY CARE RECORD, but it is the patients choice as to whether they sish for their information to be uploaded. Please see the SUMMARY CARE RECORD section for further information
